Conversational Spanish

In Conversational Spanish, veteran Lynn Public School ESL teacher and native Spanish speaker, Mrs Rowe will introduce helpful Spanish language phrases for professionals. Spanish learners of all levels are welcome. Limited to 12 students max.

It's important to learn Spanish because Spanish is, by far, the most spoken non-English language in the US. More than 50 million people speak Spanish in this country and they are an important group of clients for any business or organization.

Computer Applications in Haitian Creole
Beginners Level

This class is for people who don't have much experience with computers. We will learn more about email options, basic keyboard and mouse operations, printing documents, and basic Microsoft programs. You will learn how computers can be used to help us in our daily lives.

How to Start a Nonprofit Organization

Starting a nonprofit offers philanthropic-hearted individuals many benefits, including more credibility, donors, and grants. However, it is not right for everyone. In this class, find out if starting a nonprofit is right for you, learn how to start a nonprofit, and take the guesswork out of the process.

Have you ever wanted to explore clay? Jacqueline Fitzhugh, local business owner of Mud Dove Pottery will guide students to explore their creative side in pottery. Hand building mugs, slab bowls, and decorating with glazes. Lots of fun. Come and let's create something new. Materials for the class are a separate cost and will be discussed during the first class.

Yoga

The focus of this yoga class is to provide an encouraging and invulnerable environment for beginners and advanced beginners to increase flexibility, balance, strength, endurance and awareness of self. In this class, you will learn a variety of poses through step by step verbal descriptions and demonstrations with emphasis on moving at your own pace. You will be guided through the foundations of yoga with the use of props and the breath in order to perform the postures successfully and build confidence in a safe and supporting way.

Bring a yoga mat and a blanket. If you have yoga blocks and/or Yoga straps that will be helpful. Looking forward to practicing with you.

Adult Literacy/Reading Lessons for Adults

This is a reading course designed to develop basic literacy skills and strategies needed for reading. Students will develop the knowledge base, range, and fluency in reading. Students will read closely to determine what the text says to ask and answer questions about key details in a text.
